The Scars of Us by Nikki Sparxx (aka Nikki Narvaez)

Holy Love of Ryker!!!

 

Ok so I read this book a wee bit ago, a few days actually, Friday I finished it on Friday. I wanted to blog about it right when I was done but you know that crazy thing called life yeah that kinda happens to me from time to time. Not to mention the shirt pulling and much more than occasional "MOM, MOM, MOMMY, MOMMY,MOMMA, MOMMA" That I get in my ear every 2.2 seconds. I swear I live with Stewie from family guy most days.  
 
But back to this fabulous book and I mean I really think this book is awesome and there should be no more distractions from it! Well the back round stories of  these two main characters in this story is so heart breaking it is insane. A word of warning if you were sexual abused at any point in your life something's in this may trigger some flash backs of your own terrible experience. I wouldn't turn away from this book per say for that reason tho because it shows no matter what, no matter how broken you may think you are there maybe someone out there that is more than willing to take you scars and all, and try to make everything better for you. If your ever so lucky to find someone like that, don't turn them away, let them help you because nobody should have to deal with something like that alone , even if it happened years ago it still haunts you. Ryker is more than willing to do that for Kaiya if she would only let him in. Does she let him in? What scars are Ryker hiding himself? Will Kaiya have to re-live her haunting past? Find out all the answers to these questions and more in The Scars of Us by Nikki Narvaez. Pretending He's You by Stacey Mosteller!!!!

Ok now guys this book is freaking fantabulous!!!!! Pretending He's You is #4 in the Nashville Night series, which David  (from Nashville Nights #1) is currently holding number 2 on the book boyfriend list. Oh and BTW an updated list WILL be coming out very shortly due to this book, thanks Stacey!!! Ok ADD moment over back to this book. This book has two parts to it which is very important because in part one everything starts there, well a matter of fact it starts on October 15, 2010 on Olivia's 18th birthday. While she's pissed off at her on again off again boyfriend Emmett, which she may have been broke up with at that point. She told him never to call her again sooooo that's like a break right?? She's all upset and guess who comes to see what's wrong???? Her older brothers friend Tyler **ahhh swoon** who came over to visit Chris (Livvie's Older brother who is in the Army). One thing leads to another and lets just say pop goes the cherry. They have a two week long fling, and at  the end of the two weeks he has to break her heart thinking that's what's best for her pfff pfff pfffff!! Now we fast forward to 2013 where everything starts up again! Olivia and the gang go to a concert where guess what?!?!?! Tyler's band  Twisted Destiny is the opening act! So of course as Tyler is rocking out he sees Livvie girl (his nick name for her). Oh and BTW he's been hurting over her for ummm the last 3 years and of course as much as she says she's over him she is SoOoOoO not. Oh and before I forget Liv thinks Emmett (on again off again) doesn't know about her and Tyler but she is so wrong about that let me tell you. When Liv and Emmett split for those two weeks way back when he SAW Liv and Tyler macking out in the mall. Buuuuuuut she doesn't know that. So emotins are running rampage with everyone. Liv is freaking out because hes back, Tyler is like maybe I can fix things between me and her and Emmett is like fuck this not again!! so much happens in this book it is totally crazy and in the end someone (not saying any names) forces her to make a choice and that when she choose the one she doesn't chose she can no longer have ANYTHING to do with. Can you say major total freak out. Yeah that was me at the end of this flipping book. THANK GAWD there is going to be another book to finish off their story because if there wasn't going to be and Stacey left it that way, lets just say I am not underneath begging or groveling. Life Before Damaged 6 juicy review!!

It's Live PEEPS!!!!

OKAY so as promised LBD 6 (Life before Damaged 6 for those of you who STILL aren't in the know) has gone live on all sites *blows party horn and throw confetti*. That means my lovelies that I can get nice a juicy with my details on the book. Weeeeeeeeee and yes, yes I am excited if you haven't noticed by now. SoOooOooO in this one its starts off right where 5 left of which I've already told you but it does and its in the middle of the very heated decision where Gina has to either agree to marry bad boy Pete or forfeit the family business to the Ferro's (well really Constance) and whined up in jail!!! * twiddles thumbs*She may have thrown a rave and burned down one of the family owned warehouses. Well she didn't burn it down that happen do to a fight with Pete and another guy. Yup that's why she's kinda stuck with Pete she 'hosted' the rave and he fudged it up times a million. Well Gina thinking of her family's good name and reputation sucks it up and agrees to marry Pete. I this point Ginas got it bad for Pete but she doesn't want to admit it she rather say that she hates him. Pete is pissed he doesn't want to do this and neither does she really I mean who would want to be married to some one but not really be married to them yeah know. Yes they would be legally married but he'd be with anything with a hole willing to spread it(that's just Pete back then). One of my many favorite quotes comes into play around this part of the book where she is sitting in the hall with Pete letting him know its ok she rather marry him then hurt her family more than she already has uh hmm "It's way better than serving a jail sentence with a toothless tattooed dominatrix as my cellmate.... Massive chin hair she can't pluck and an 'I heart Ponies' tattoo across her chest" BAHAHAHAHAHA I mean come on H.M Ward rocks you have to admit that's freaking funny. Yeah another fave quote which Gina says shortly after her hallway convo with Pete is this one about Creepy Connie "I wish I had a voodoo doll. I wonder if they sell them on Amazon." Yeah there is a lot of times in this book where I grantee you'll bust out laughing and have people look at you like your crazy, hey it happens when you read her books. Well any who after everything is said and done Mr. Granz goes like batshit crazy and throws Gina out on her ass hmmm lovely daddy right, wrong he's a major dick wad. Well she goes and has a touching moment with dear ol mom while packing which is just Momma Granz and I wont give tooooooo much away but you'll tear up at the moment and then laugh your butt off because we find out where Gina gets her goose laugh from! Gina moves in with her bestie Erin, GOD I love that chick!!! I mean the stuff that comes outta her mouth. Get this Gina tells her everything and I do mean everything and you know what the girl comes back with " So let me get this straight: you're going to marry Pete-Fuck-Me-Up-Against-A-Wall-Ferro?" Yup this is one of the many many reasons I love Erin, oh yeah and she has cooch envy what girl doesn't. While the girls are watching 'T.V.' (when you read it you'll understand the quotation marks)  dum dum dum Pissy Pete shows up. Ok then some stuff happens again not gonna say but I threw my phone at the end of the book. YEEEEAAAHHH right across the living room. H.M. Ward is the Queen of the Cliffhangers so this is to be expected especially with a reader like me I kinda get into it a wee bit. Life Before Damaged 6!!!!

LBD 6 Boo-freaking-ya!!

SoOoOoOoO I just got my ARC for LBD 6 and if you don't know what that stands for you should! It means Life Before Damaged Peter Ferro #1 on the book boyfriend list. Well any who this book was amazingly awesome (as to be expected from H.M. Ward). This book leaves off right from the end of LBD 5 which is awesome, there is no catch up or flashbacks or anything. When I got done reading this book I'm not gonna lie I threw my phone and yelled OMFG WTF but the actual words not just the letters. Yeah I kinda get into my books, and stuff like that happens when your author is the Queen of freaking cliffhangers! This book is incredible and if you don't get this book  when it goes live then they're maybe something wrong with you (just sayin). Well I don't want to say really anything before this book goes live a ruin it because I have a habit of spoiling things I really enjoy and want other people to get into. BUUUUUUT when the book does go live expect A LOT more yummy juicy details ;p
